The Nardi Bisiluro have been designed by Carlo Mollino and
built by Enrico Nardi to the purpose to produce a car provided with high
aerodinamic efficiency and very low weight in order to be competitive at 1955
Le Mans 24 hours. The engine fitted on the left side of the car (engine from
Giannini, 4 cylinders, DOHC, 734 cc, 55 hp at 6000 rpm) counter-balanced the
fuel tank and the driver's weight on the right side. The car, drivers M.
Damonte and R. Crovetto, didn't finish the race because of an accident: it was
blown off the track by a passing Jaguar D Type.
Una belleza el Nardi, uno de esos autos diferentes que te hacen sentir más pasión por Le Mans.
