Este protótipo com o chassis nº0808 foi inscrito pelo North American Racing Team (N.A.R.T) e foi conduzido por Pedro Rodriguez e Roger Penske. Retirou-se na nona hora depois de estar em terceiro lugar na hora anterior. Pedro Rodriguez e Penske ficaram com o carro que tinha sido bem sucedido no ano anterior nas mãos de Gendebien e Hill. Este protótipo era o único com motor dianteiro na prova ficou fora de circulação pelas mãos do talentoso mas impetuoso Pedro que se despistou em Arnage ("Ferrari at Le Mans" de Dominique Pascal).
